  1. I am wondering if you being sponsored by US Mint ? This type of videos were interesting at the begging , but Understand the focus so much time on silver eagles , who buys them anyway these days ? I don’t understand why people still buy silver eagles. If someone is willing to lose $10-$15 per coin , then they are ready to sell ase they should by them anyway. Unless someone is buying just a few of them to give them to family members as a gift that’s fine, other than that it’s a very bad idea. Oh my local coin shop only pay $1 – $2 over spot for ASE , because they know that silver price dropping like a rock . If I was a coin shop owner I will do the same thing I wouldn’t pay more than one dollar or two of a spot per ASE . Several legitimate sources predicted silver dropping to $ 15 per once , by the end of the summer . So for one should stay away from American silver eagles. By the way all my local coin shop owners told me that they have been having hard time selling ASE for a long time .

    1. Sponsored by the U.S. Mint? Lol I wish! It would be illegal for me to not disclose sponsorships for one and for two, I’ve said in many videos that I’m NOT buying Eagles right now, so they wouldn’t like that.

  2. Thanks Seeker. Love these calls. Even though I’m not selling any time soon, It helps to keep an eye on the pulse of the every day dealers!

  3. I remember a time when eagles were 2 dollars over regardless or the day of the week or the spot and generic was .50 cents to a 1 dollar over

  4. Your Video title could be interpreted another way, as in how much the retail Silver Dealers actually PAY to buy Silver Eagles from the US Mint’s designated Distributors. So, hopefully you can do a video in the future to state how much they pay (on average). The US Mint states on their website how much they sell the Eagles to those designated distributors, So then the official distributors mark them up (I assume what ever they want to, but still need to be competitive with each other) and then the final retail coin shops add in their own markup. Please examine this issue.

  5. So lucky to have a dealer in our area who pays decent.
Got into a pickle awhile back and had to do some selling. Tried several places and never got a respectable offer. The only guy who paid decent paid really decent. I was going to lose my shirt with everyone else but turned a profit with this guy.
Its a real blessing to not get killed by that spread. If im ever able to buy again, itll be from the guy who did me right.

  6. I was told at one shop he pays what his wholesaler is charging him. He didn’t say what that was.
Another shop told me he only pays spot when buying.

  7. I’m confused why non-numismatic (bullion) silver eagles are even being graded. I thought the whole idea of them was to buy and sell based on the ounces of pure silver or gold in the bullion, not the look of them. Am I completely wrong? These aren’t collector coins (numismatic).

    1. In general you are correct but there are collectors that do slabbed sets etc so there is a market for them. That said it’s not generally what they’re meant for.
